An Enduring CME/CE Activity

Bridging the Efficacy-Effectiveness Gap: Real-World
Strategies to Improve Schizophrenia Outcomes is a
complimentary CME/CE activity designed to provide psychiatrists
and psychiatric nurse practitioners with the latest research and
information about schizophrenia. This activity will discuss the
applicability of recent study results, real-world measurement of
outcomes, and strategies to promote adherence and manage medical
comorbidities.
This activity consists of a 1-hour prerecorded presentation,
followed by a posttest and evaluation form. Successful completion
is achieved by listening to the educational presentation and submitting
the completed activity
evaluation and posttest prior to the expiration date, June 30,
2008. Eligible participants will receive up to 1.0 AMA PRA Category
1 Credit(s)™ or 1.2 Contact Hours (CHs).

Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Differentiate effectiveness research from traditional
efficacy trials
- Explain proposed definitions of schizophrenia remission
and how they must affect measurement of treatment outcomes
- Identify strategies to assess outcomes that can
be readily used in day-to-day practice
- Name approaches to measuring and improving treatment
adherence
- Integrate relevant medical comorbidity screening
strategies into clinical practice

The Center for Health Care Education, LLC (CHCE), is accredited
by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to
provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CHCE designates this activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category
1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate
with the extent of their participation in the activity.
This continuing nursing education activity is approved
by CHCE for 1.2 Contact Hours (CHs). CHCE is an Approved Provider
of continuing nursing education by the North Carolina Nurses Association,
an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's
Commission on Accreditation.
In addition, all other attendees will be issued a
certificate of participation that lists the designated credits.
To receive credit, participants must listen to the
recorded audio and complete the evaluation and posttest and submit
to CHCE.
